Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Okay. So I know there’s all this talk about the quality of the films in the MCU. I know that there are a lot of complicated issues within the SFX industry that should really be addressed. Also that there is a growing fatigue among audiences. I know that lots of folks are saying that these are a few of the things that have led to both a decline in audience attendance as well as positive reviews.

All these issues aside, I am not one of those. This shit was freaking great. I just want to say that. Kat and I had a blast. As I’ve said before, I”m easily entertained and there are very few movies I have not enjoyed.

I get that folks take issue with the humor. That it’s very Rick and Morty-ish” and I understand. It’s just that, well, it is. Because it was written by one of the R&M writers. A writer with some of the best R&M episodes under his belt so, yeah. If it feels like it was written with that kind of humor, for the type of audience that enjoys that kind of shit, well, it probably was.

I’m one of those types and I thought it was freaking hilarious. But it’s also more than that. It’s got a lot of heart, and while, I do feel like they had a different ending in mind that was a harder pill to swallow, I’m always down to see how those decisions are used downstream in later MCU films.

Also, Kudos to Marvel for finally getting around to including one of my all time favorite villains since I was a kid.

This fucking guy:

That’s right. M.O.D.O.K! Holy that was a great time. My man just blundering his way through the chaos in a semi-almost-successful way. That’s some pretty cool shit.
